Just drink some sake or beer with your basashi to kill the bacteria! For viruses, I guess just hope for the best.

Eating Abalone isn’t illegal, but fishing for it is due to small quantities on our coasts. So, if you ever see it on a menu it’s imported. But, due to that fact it’s even more expensive in the States than elsewhere.

I have some experiences to eat horse. The Basashi (sashimi of horse) that I ate in Kumamoto on family vacation with my wife and two daughters who were little children is the best taste of delicious. But, I don’t eat raw meats, ‘cos I afraid the food intoxication. I love Sukiyaki for horse meat.
